ΔΕΛΤΙΟ ΤΥΠΟΥ «Διεθνής φιλία χωρίς σύνορα» , 5-12 Σεπτεμβρίου 2024
Με μεγάλη επιτυχία ολοκληρώθηκε το πρόγραμμα « Διεθνής φιλία χωρίς σύνορα» από τον ΟΙΚΟ.ΠΟΛΙ.Σ. Νέες φιλίες δημιουργήθηκαν, ισχυρές συνεργασίες με φίλους από Λιθουανία, Ιταλία, Ισπανία, Γεωργία, Τουρκία.
Πρώτος σταθμός η Ελλάδα. Κοινές διακοπές φίλων από την Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό.
Τα βασικό πιστεύω μας είναι ότι η φιλία μεταξύ ατόμων από άλλες χώρες μπορεί να γεφυρώσει τις διαφορές . Ένας ενωμένος κόσμος μπορεί να οικοδομηθεί έχοντας θεμέλια πραγματικές φιλίες που έχουν τη δύναμη να ξεπερνούν σύνορα και διαχωρισμούς.
Από τον Ιούνιο του 2024 , προσκαλέσαμε φίλους μας από το εξωτερικό να έρθουν στην Ελλάδα, να οργανώσουμε κοινές δράσεις , να γνωριστούμε καλύτερα και να γίνει η αρχή μιας δυνατής φιλίας.
Μια νέα πρωτοβουλία της OIKO.ΠΟΛΙ.Σ, μετά την αλλαγή του καταστατικού, είναι η διοργάνωση ετήσιων συναντήσεων σε μια από τις εμπλεκόμενες χώρες, προκειμένου να γνωρίσουμε την ιστορία διαφορετικών χωρών, πολιτισμούς, έθιμα/συνήθειες καθώς και να έχουμε την ευκαιρία να ανταλλάξουμε απόψεις για περιβαλλοντικά και πολιτιστικά θέματα.
Εννέα φίλοι από Ιταλία, Λιθουανία, Ισπανία, Τουρκία και Γεωργία αποδέχτηκαν την πρόσκλησή μας και κάναμε μαζί διακοπές για μια εβδομάδα. Ο Elmo De Angelis ,η Rosella Giovagnoli και ο Εnzo Pinzini από την Ιταλία, η Ia Mosashvili από την Γεωργία, ο Hasan Yüce από την Τουρκία, παλιοί συνεργάτες μας και οι νέοι φίλοι και συνεργάτες, ο Rimas Velykis και η Jolanda Velykiene από τη Λιθουανία και ο Carlos Bodí και η Ivana Domenech απ'΄την Ισπανία.
Επισκεφθήκαμε το Κατάκολο, την Αρχαία Ολυμπία, τη Δημητσάνα, τα Λαγκάδια, τη Σύρο, το Χαϊδάρι και την Αθήνα (Μουσεία, Αρχαιολογικούς χώρους).
Στο πρόγραμμα
συμμετείχαν και 20 άτομα του ΟΙΚΟ.ΠΟΛΙ.Σ και έτσι ξεκίνησε να δημιουργείται το
Διεθνές Δίκτυο φίλων. Αυτό είναι ένα όνειρο του ΟΙΚΟ.ΠΟΛΙ.Σ που άρχισε σιγά σιγά να υλοποιείται.
Μερικοί από τους Έλληνες συμμετέχοντες είναι:
Απόστολος Ψαρρός , Σοφία Δημητρίου, Kων/νος Κορδολεμης , Μαίρη Κορδολέμη, Ανδρέας Χατζημηνάς, Κρίνα Καραμανή, Ελένη Μπάστα , Γεωργία Σούλη, Μιχάλης Κομοδίκης , Καίτη Τσαπαλάκη, Νίκος Σταμπουλίδης, Αναστασία Kουτσούκου, Παρασκευή Μαρκεσίνη , Μαργαρίτα Δεμερούτη, Βάσω Βασιλοπούλου.
Συζητήσαμε και ανταλλάξαμε ιδέες για άλλους πολιτισμούς, για περιβαλλοντικά προβλήματα , για την ειρήνη. Ήταν μια καλή αρχή για άτομα που εκτιμούν τις ορατές πτυχές όπως το φαγητό, τη μουσική, τους χορούς αλλά συγχρόνως είναι ανοιχτοί στο να μάθουν για διαφορετικές βασικές αξίες, αντιλήψεις και συμπεριφορές που οι άνθρωποι μπορεί να μην δείχνουν αμέσως και έτσι να οικοδομήσουν ισχυρές διαπολιτισμικές συνδέσεις.Έτσι έγινε με την ομάδα μας. Ξεκινήσαμε με μια συνάντηση στο σπίτι της Ελένης Μπάστα με 35 άτομα με παραδοσιακά φαγητά που έφεραν οι συμμετέχοντες και χορούς από την Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό.

6/9 Παρασκευή
Επισκεφθήκαμε την
παραλία της Κουρούτας, κάναμε μπάνιο και μετά κάναμε μια περιήγηση στην πόλη
Κατάκολο. Κατά τη διάρκεια του δείπνου είχαμε την ευκαιρία να ανταλλάξουμε
ιδέες για τα παραδοσιακά φαγητά σε κάθε χώρα και για τον τρόπο που
ενεργοποιούνται οι άνθρωποι 60+.
7/9 Σάββατο
Επίσκεψη στην
Αρχαία Ολυμπία (Αρχαιολογικός χώρος και Μουσείο)
Κατά τη διάρκεια του ταξιδιού μας γνωρίσαμε την Αρχαία Ολυμπία, η οποία δεν είναι απλώς μια πόλη με μόνιμους κατοίκους, αλλά ένα ιερό από κτίρια και ναούς αφιερωμένους στους Θεούς που προστάτευαν τους Αγώνες.
Μια καταπληκτική ξεναγός μας οδήγησε στον σπουδαίο αρχαιολογικό χώρο . Περπατώντας στον χώρο είδαμε τα ερείπια του ναού του Δία, το γυμναστήριο, τον ιππόδρομο και το Ολυμπιακό στάδιο όπου διεξήχθησαν οι πρώτοι Ολυμπιακοί Αγώνες, σχεδιασμένο να φιλοξενεί έως και 40.000 θεατές.
Οργανώσαμε έναν αγώνα μέσα στο στάδιο και όλοι νοιώσαμε για λίγο πως βρισκόμαστε στην Αρχαία Ελλάδα. Ήταν μια υπέροχη εμπειρία και είμασταν όλοι νικητές! Αυτό μας έδωσε την ευκαιρία να μιλήσουμε για την Ολυμπιακή Εκεχειρία που θα μπορούσε να γίνει ένα μοναδικό εργαλείο για την προώθηση της παγκόσμιας ειρήνης.
Στη συνέχεια,
επισκεφθήκαμε το Μουσείο που είναι ένα από τα μεγαλύτερα και σημαντικότερα
μουσεία της Ελλάδας και φιλοξενεί πληθώρα αρχαίων αγαλμάτων, οικιακών
αντικειμένων, όπλων και ευρημάτων από αρχαίους ναούς.
Τελειώνοντας την
ξενάγηση, απολαύσαμε μια μικρή στάση στην πόλη της Ολυμπίας.
Το βράδυ προσφέραμε στους συμμετέχοντες ένα δείπνο σε παραδοσιακή ταβέρνα. Απολαύσαμε το φαγητό μας με ωραία τραγούδια, χορεύοντας όλοι μαζί Ελληνικούς και ξένους χορούς.
8/9 Κυριακή:
Επισκεφθήκαμε μερικά ιδιαίτερα μέρη: Λαγκάδια , Δημητσάνα, Βυτίνα. Μια διαδρομή ανάμεσα σε πεύκα, έλατα και κάστανα την οποία απόλαυσαν όλοι. Ο Θεόδωρος Ορεινός ήταν ο οδηγός μας.
Το βράδυ, απολαύσαμε ένα ξεχωριστό παραδοσιακό ιταλικό δείπνο στο σπίτι του Απόστολου Ψαρρού, προσφορά του Elmo De Angelis και της Rosela. Μαγείρεψαν για εμάς και όλοι οι διεθνείς φίλοι προσέφεραν ποτά και μερικά παραδοσιακά προϊόντα από τις χώρες τους.
9/9 έως 10/9 : Διήμερη εκδρομή στο πανέμορφο νησί της Σύρου
Επισκεφτήκαμε την
Άνω Σύρο και περάσαμε δύο μέρες μαζί , γνωριστήκαμε καλύτερα και κάναμε σχέδια
για μελλοντικές δράσεις.
Ήδη ξεκινάμε την
οργάνωση προγραμμάτων Erasmus αλλά και άλλες
διαδικτυακές συνεργασίες.
Ο σκοπός μας είναι να συναντηθούμε σε μια άλλη χώρα του χρόνου αλλά παράλληλα να εμπλουτισθεί το δίκτυο και με άλλα μέλη από την Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό.
Μερικά σχόλια από τους φίλους μας:
-Με έκαναν να νιώσω πολύ έντονα τη μεσογειακή φιλοξενία. Θα ήθελα να ευχαριστήσω όλους τους Έλληνες φίλους μου ξεχωριστά. Ήταν ξεχωριστή χαρά να συναντώ φίλους από διαφορετικές χώρες και πολιτισμούς και να μοιράζομαι τα ίδια συναισθήματα και τον ίδιο ενθουσιασμό μαζί τους. Θα ήθελα να ευχαριστήσω ξανά τη Σοφία και την ομάδα της που συγκέντρωσαν μια τόσο αρμονική ομάδα.
Σας ευχαριστούμε πολύ όλους για το υπέροχο ταξίδι, τις αξέχαστες εντυπώσεις, τις γνώσεις, τις νέες εμπειρίες, τους νέους, εκπληκτικά ζεστούς ανθρώπους που γνωρίσαμε σε αυτό το ταξίδι! Εξαιρετικά και προσεκτικά προετοιμασμένα ταξιδιωτικά δρομολόγια....για να γνωρίσουμε καλύτερα τη χώρα και τον πολιτισμό της, ειδικά τη Σοφία και την ελληνική ομάδα της, για τραγούδια, χορούς... απίστευτα νόστιμο φαγητό και ένα ζεστό σπίτι! Νιώσαμε άνετα, τα πάντα παρέχονται! Καθώς και την ευκαιρία να γνωρίσεις νέους ανθρώπους.
Περάσαμε
υπέροχες διακοπές στην Ελλάδα. Ευχαριστούμε πολύ, πολύ στην ελληνική ομάδα για
την τόσο ειλικρινή φιλία και φιλοξενία που λάβαμε από εσάς αυτή την εβδομάδα. Ο
καθένας μας έκανε πραγματικά αυτές τις διακοπές για έναν ολόκληρο χρόνο και θα
θυμόμαστε γλυκά τις μέρες που περάσαμε μαζί σας για το υπόλοιπο της ζωής μας…

Press Release: "International friendship without borders" , 5-12 September 2024
With great success, the program "International Friendship Without Borders" was organized by OIKO.POLIS was completed. New friendships were formed, and strong collaborations were established with friends from Lithuania, Italy, Spain, Georgia, and Turkey.
The first stop was Greece, where joint vacations were enjoyed by friends from Greece and abroad. Our core belief is that friendships between individuals from different countries can bridge differences. A united world can be built on the foundation of genuine friendships, which have the power to overcome borders and divisions.
Starting in June 2024, we invited our friends from abroad to come to Greece, organize joint activities, get to know each other better, and begin the journey of forming a strong bond. A new initiative from OIKO.POLIS, following a change in its statutes, is the organization of annual meetings in one of the participating countries. The aim is to learn about the history, cultures, customs, and traditions of different countries while also having the opportunity to exchange views on environmental and cultural issues.
Nine friends from Italy, Lithuania, Spain, Turkey, and Georgia accepted our invitation and we spent a week vacationing together. Elmo De Angelis, Rosella Giovagnoli, and Enzo Pinzini from Italy, Ia Mosashvili from Georgia, Hasan Yüce from Turkey, our old collaborators, and our new friends and collaborators, Rimas Velykis and Jolanda Velykiene from Lithuania, and Carlos Bodí and Ivana Domenech from Spain.
We visited Katakolo, Ancient Olympia, Dimitsana, Lagkadia, Syros, Haidari,
and Athens (Museums and archaeological sites).
Twenty members of OIKO.POLIS also participated in the program, thus starting
the creation of the International Friends Network.
This is a dream of OIKO.POLIS that is slowly coming to life.
Some of the Greek participants include Apostolos Psarros, Sofia Dimitriou, Konstantinos Kordolemis, Mary Kordolemi, Andreas Chatziminas, Krina Karamani, Eleni Basta, Georgia Souli, Michalis Komodikis, Kaiti Tsapalaki, Nikos Stamboulidis, Anastasia Koutsoukou, Paraskevi Markesini, Margarita Demerouti, and Vasso Vasilopoulou.
We discussed and exchanged ideas about different cultures, environmental issues, and peace. It was a good start for people who appreciate visible aspects such as food, music, and dances but are also open to learning about the deeper values, perceptions, and behaviors that people may not immediately show, thus building strong intercultural connections.
This is what happened with our group. We began with a meeting at Eleni Basta's home, where 35 people gathered with traditional dishes brought by the participants and dances from Greece and abroad.
Our agenda:
5/9 Thursday: Dinner and traditional celebration at Eleni Basta's house.
6/9 Friday: We visited Kourouta Beach, swam, and then toured the town of Katakolo. During dinner, we had the chance to exchange ideas about traditional foods in each country and how people over 60 remain active.
7/9 Saturday: Visit to Ancient Olympia (Archaeological Site and Museum)
During our trip, we explored Ancient Olympia, which is not just a city with permanent residents but a sanctuary of buildings and temples dedicated to the Gods who protected the Games.
An amazing tour guide led us through the remarkable archaeological site. As we walked through the area, we saw the ruins of the Temple of Zeus, the gymnasium, the hippodrome, and the Olympic Stadium, where the first Olympic Games were held, designed to accommodate up to 40,000 spectators.
We organized a race inside the stadium, and for a moment, we all felt like we were in Ancient Greece. It was a wonderful experience, and we were all winners! This allowed us to discuss the Olympic Truce, which could become a unique tool for promoting global peace.
We then visited the museum, one of the largest and most important in Greece, which houses numerous ancient statues, household items, weapons, and findings from ancient temples.
After the tour, we enjoyed a short stop in the town of Olympia.
In the evening, we treated the participants to dinner at a traditional tavern. We enjoyed our meal accompanied by beautiful songs, dancing together to both Greek and foreign dances.
8/9, Sunday
We visited some special places: Lagkadia, Dimitsana, and Vytina. A journey through pine, fir, and chestnut trees that everyone enjoyed.

We had a special traditional Italian dinner at Apostolos Psarros' home in the evening, prepared by Elmo De Angelis and Rosella. They cooked for us, and all our international friends brought drinks and traditional products from their countries.
9/9 and 10/9: Two-day trip to the beautiful island of Syros
We visited Ano Syros and spent two days together, getting to know each other better and planning for future activities.
We are already starting to organize Erasmus programs and other online
collaboration.
Our goal is to meet in another country next year, while also enriching the
network with new members from Greece and abroad.

Μια νέα πρωτοβουλία της OIKO.POLI.S, μετά την αλλαγή του καταστατικού, είναι η διοργάνωση ετήσιων συναντήσεων σε μια από τις εμπλεκόμενες χώρες, προκειμένου να γνωρίσουμε την ιστορία διαφορετικών χωρών. πολιτισμούς, έθιμα/συνήθειες καθώς και να έχουμε την ευκαιρία να ανταλλάξουμε απόψεις για περιβαλλοντικά και πολιτιστικά θέματα.Δέκα φίλοι από Ιταλία, Λιθουανία, Ισπανία, Τουρκία και Γεωργία αποδέχτηκαν την πρόσκλησή μας και θα είναι μαζί μας για μια εβδομάδα. Αρχαία Ολυμπία, Δημητσάνα, Σύρος, Χαϊδάρι.......Η φιλία χωρίς σύνορα σημαίνει μια σχέση που υπερβαίνει τα πολιτιστικά, γεωγραφικά και κοινωνικά όρια. Τονίζει τις παγκόσμιες αξίες της εμπιστοσύνης, της κατανόησης και του αμοιβαίου σεβασμού που αποτελούν τη βάση των γνήσιων ανθρώπινων συνδέσεων. Αυτές οι φιλίες γιορτάζουν τη διαφορετικότητα, προωθούν την παγκόσμια ενότητα και αναδεικνύουν την κοινή ανθρωπιά που μας δένει όλους, ανεξάρτητα από το υπόβαθρό μας. Τέτοιοι δεσμοί μπορούν να ενισχύσουν την ενσυναίσθηση, να μειώσουν τις προκαταλήψεις και να συμβάλουν σε έναν πιο αρμονικό και διασυνδεδεμένο κόσμο.
Στον ΟΙΚΟ.ΠΟΛΙ.Σ αποφασίσαμε να φτιάξουμε ένα Δίκτυο φίλων από όλο τον κόσμο. Έτσι προσκαλέσαμε στο σύλλογό μας να συμμετέχουν μέλη από όλο τον κόσμο. Θέλουμε να μάθουμε για άλλους πολιτισμούς και να δημιουργήσουμε ουσιαστικές συνδέσεις μεταξύ των ανθρώπων.
Ο πολιτισμός είναι σαν ένα παγόβουνο. Όταν κοιτάτε ένα πραγματικό παγόβουνο, βλέπετε μόνο ένα μικρό μέρος ολόκληρου του αντικειμένου, επειδή το μεγαλύτερο μέρος του είναι κρυμμένο κάτω από το νερό. Οι κουλτούρες είναι επίσης έτσι επειδή υπάρχουν μέρη κάθε πολιτισμού που είναι ορατά, αλλά οι περισσότερες πτυχές είναι κρυμμένες έως ότου οι άνθρωποι της κουλτούρας αισθάνονται άνετα μαζί σας.
Είναι μια καλή αρχή για άτομα που εκτιμούν τις ορατές πτυχές όπως το φαγητό, τη μουσική, τους χορούς . Στις 5-12 Σεπτέμβρη 2024 , προσκαλέσαμε φίλους μας από το εξωτερικό να έρθουν στην Ελλάδα, να οργανώσουμε κοινές δράσεις , να γνωριστούμε καλύτερα και να γίνει η αρχή μιας δυνατής φιλίας.

What is our Strategy?
Increased global competition, the race for talent, and disruptive
innovation create opportunities for associations and professional societies to
become more essential to members.
Simply put: It's all about making our members
happy, providing them with what they need, and helping to build their capacity
and increase their communication. Membership is the lifeblood of any
association and never before have organizations been faced with so many
membership challenges.
Oikopolis is a non-governmental organization with a Greek membership of
about 63 and 4 honor European members but it is aiming to increase them and to
create a Network of World people.
Through its members, OIKOPOLIS wants to bring together people who
develop voluntary, consensus-based international standards that support
innovative, economic, social, and environmental development and provide
solutions to global challenges. In OIKOPOLIS also we believe that a strong
foundation in people and organization development, effective use of technology,
and a focus on communication will help it achieve its goals.
One of our major challenges is the diversity of members. "Our members
can be people from big or small organizations, governmental or
non-governmental, private or public, and the challenges and opportunities in
every national context are different. "In this respect, we cannot come up with
a 'one-size-fits-all' approach. Having said that, obviously many challenges
will be shared and we will do our utmost to find the commonalities between our
members and stimulate the sharing of best practice stories and experiences to take advantage of the power of our network. Being part of an
international organization will allow for a valuable information exchange and
promotes peer-to-peer exchange — this is something we are very keen to foster."

We have decided to change the
statute of OIKO.POLI.S by opening up to the international and national
community.
A lot of people are looking for
activities that will keep them active. There are plenty of activities, which
keep active the mind as well as the body
and fill the free time available, in which they could participate.
Joining an international organisation is a good way to broaden our horizons in cooperation with people from other countries and therefore of different cultures.
Our main idea is to create a group that meets the social and cultural needs of people of all ages from different parts of the world. A group that will provide ICT access and training to persons 20+ and/or people with disabilities.
Our objectives are:
1. Common holidays of the members. Annual holiday meetings in one of the
involved countries on a specific topic.
2. Exchange of experiences: organising working groups on education and integration issues such as active ageing, culture and e-services.
3. Organisation of online training. Each member will be able to transfer their experiences to the others by organising online or face-to-face seminars/activities.
4. Communication: Creating a website, distributing newsletters, publishing articles and presentations on relevant issues.
5. Organising an Erasmus project with the final aim of an International meeting after a year of communication through online activities.
